Nederland Farmers Market — Local Food Shares

Every other week during the growing season, the Nederland Farmers Market (NFM) holds market events that provide produce, crafts, information, and entertainment that draws residents and visitors to downtown Nederland. NFM requested funding that will allow it to expand its Local Food Share program by providing at least six additional bi-weekly shares at no cost to needy households that are facing food insecurity and need nutritional support. The full impact of this $1890 grant will help provide nutritious, fresh food to as many as twelve needy households.
