Magnolia Forest Group — Recreation Management

The $2,275 grant to Magnolia Forest Group for recreation management aims to hold the US Forest Service (USFS) accountable for how they manage our public lands. Funds are going towards a paid position to complete graphing data of citations, visitations and fire data for 3 of the most popular Forests in Colorado including the Arapahoe-Roosevelt. This project also aims to close 80,000 acres of unsafe locations for sports shooting in Boulder County by helping to select a location for an already approved shooting range. MFG will present the data to other environmental and recreational organizations, with shared interests in environmental stewardship and sustainable recreation.
