Fiscal Sponsorship
As a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, the Mountain Forum for Peace offers fiscal sponsorship so that individuals and groups without nonprofit status can collect tax-deductible donations for their projects. Projects must further MFP’s mission to be considered for sponsorship. Contact us to start raising funds with MFP!

Fiscal Sponsorship
Project must align with MFP’s mission.
MFP maintains fiduciary control and responsibility for the project.
MFP retains 4% of all funds raised for administrative overhead.
Sponsorship is granted at the discretion of the Board.
MFP is not a pass-through — all sponsorships must comply with local, state, US, and international law.
Joan Gono’s Orphanage
In 2022-2023, MFP fiscally sponsored Joan Gono’s orphanage in N'Zérékoré, Guinea. Since 2008, Joan has worked tirelessly to ensure a better future for dozens of and children in her care. Funds raised allow for continued upkeep up the facility, including solar panels and a palm oil press, as well as providing for the children’s transportation needs.
Mountain Mask Project
At the height of the pandemic, MFP fiscally sponsored the Mountain Mask Project, a group of committed volunteers who made and distributed masks during the PPE shortage. Over 5,000 masks were hand-sewn and delivered by volunteer drives across the Peak to Peak region.
Ghormu Village Ambulance
In 2017, MFP fiscally sponsored the Ghormu Village Ambulance project after the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal. The funds were raised by local community members to purchase an ambulance for the village, build a garage, and conduct work toward putting in a water tank for potable water.
