Peace Gardens
The Mountain Forum for Peace maintains two gardens in Nederland, Colorado in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We are always looking for volunteers to help water, weed, and maintain these community resources. Both the Sculpture Garden and the Bridge Garden are open to the public.
If you would like to get involved with our peace gardens, let us know!
The Sculpture Garden
The Sculpture Garden is part of the gateway into Nederland from the Boulder Canyon, featuring a cast bronze sculpture by Dave Current. The sculpture, erected in 1993, depicts a Native American offering a feather to a settler child, in recognition of the first peoples of this land.
The Bridge Garden
The Bridge Garden is tucked into a small corner between the pedestrian bridge over Middle Boulder Creek and Bridge Street. Come visit this small corner of peace overlooking the water, featuring a bench dedicated to long-time community member Kay Horowitz.
